Even though Xiaomi is largely known for smartphones in the international market, in its motherland, the company is known for offering more than just phones and accessories. In fact, it may be one of the few smartphone brands that have such a wide range of product portfolios. One such popular product is the company’s RedmiBook which offers premium design and top-end specs at an aggressive price point. It seems that Xiaomi is now planning to bring the RedmiBook lineup to India soon.

Mr. Manu Jain, MD of Xiaomi India recently tweeted from his official account as you can see above. In the tweet, Jain spoke about his meeting with Intel India MD Prakash Mallya. In addition, he mentioned that he discussed laptops and technology in the meeting. Even though there is no concrete information about what happened in the meeting, there is a good chance that they talked about Xiaomi’s laptop and its entry into the Indian market.
For those who are unaware, Xiaomi has previously applied for the RedmiBook trademark certification in India. This further tweet points to the fact that RedmiBook may soon make a place in the Indian market. If that is the case, we can make it official in the coming months. We may see more information about internal hardware and pricing in the near future. Significantly, Xiaomi offers two lineups for its laptops. Like smartphones, the RedmiBook is a budget offering while the Mi Notebook is of a premium range.
I’m guessing it all based on vague tweets right now. Therefore, take everything for knowledge only. We are hoping to see some more information in the near future to rein in all these speculations.
