- The latest features of Instagram will tell you who in your following list interacts with you the most and least.
- Get rid of accounts that can be annoying, boring, or spamming your feed with multiple posts.
Instagram has been adding many interesting features lately, where it introduces fun video filters in Insta Stories for its boomerang option. And now, the popular photo-sharing app has added a new way of who you are following and interacting with. This new feature is rolled out worldwide and is currently available. However, if you cannot see it, you will need to update your app.
The latest features of Instagram will tell you who you interact with at least on your follow-up list and help filter out unwanted accounts that you have followed at the moment. As a result, this feature will help streamline your feed and make it more personal and relevant. The company also announced this new addition on its Twitter account.
Want to see which Instagram accounts show up in your feed the most and who you interact with the least? Now you can! Just tap “Following” and manage your list from there. pic.twitter.com/eKFOBCdutr— Instagram (@instagram) February 6, 2020
In this manner, you can easily get rid of accounts that can be annoying, boring, or spamming your feed with multiple posts. You can also filter out the ones you did just out of etiquette.
How to go about it?
The method is really simple. Go to your Instagram account and tap on your ‘Follow’ list. The application will automatically sort the accounts you follow according to two categories: “least interactive with” and “most show in feed”.
Tap on the options and customize to your liking the ones you least interact with or even filter the accounts that keep popping up on your feed unnecessarily.
There is also a third and bonus feature. Instagram allows you to view your following list by stating that your most recent accounts you followed and which you joined the app were the first to see them. It shows three categories for sorting your list: “Sort by default”, “Follow the date: Latest” and “Date followed.
These new Instagram categories are an extremely easy way to manage who you want to follow and who you want to unfollow. This will help you keep your feed clean and make it more relevant by showing the posts you really care about. This is a great way to keep spammers away from irrelevant accounts in a more simple way of manually sorting them from your list.
With Instagram now 10 years old, Twitter 14 and Facebook 16, these apps have become a part of everyone’s social life and, perhaps, no one wants to play with their social skills anymore. Therefore, this is a novel move by Instagram and all social networks of apps could possibly benefit from such a new feature.
